Home sweet home

My Cuiabá fever has finally been relieved. On Wednesday I landed on the ground of Rio's airport dancing and singing 'Cidade Maravilhosa' I was so happy. Just the view of the hills, beach and Cristo statue on the flight in made me want to cry. I really live in one of the most fantastic places in the world and I'm so lucky/thankful to call it home for now. Since being home I've eaten a lot of açaí and have enjoyed the change in weather here. The humidity and sun have disappeared for now and the other night I even went out in jeans!? I also got to see Armando on his way out of Brazil.

The apartment is finally complete and now that Krystal, Lygia, Caio and me are finally together. The first night together we went out to Club Silencio again to honor our new happy family. Today this amazing girl Caio knows from Egypt arrived at our house which is basically Hostel Dias Ferreira, Leblon. She speaks Spanish, German, English, Portuguese and Arabic and will be staying for a week or so. Today we all watched Dexter for too long and then went to the beach to watch the surfers get smashed by huge waves.

Speaking of huge waves, we all were just crowding around my laptop reading about the earthquake in Chile. I think the world is ending. Now some pictures to distract me from such travesties.
