Tough times

Landslides continue to kill people in Rio today, the rain hasn't stopped and I haven't been outside other than go to the store. I bought millions fruits and vegetables that I need to do this 5 day juicer detox thing, which I really have needed. I feel blah all the time here and I need a re-start. Maybe it was because I'm fasting, but today was one of the hardest so far in terms of surviving being a vegan in Rio. I miss food so much, I dream of burritos and tempeh ruben sandwiches and making fake phili cheese steaks and then folding them all together in a pizza with a milkshake to wash it down. I also saw a picture of Ariana's barbeque on facebook which made me hungry all over again. Also on facebook, the LALS department at UCSC added me as a friend which actually made my day. It feels good to be connected.

Right now I'm listening to my 'Thanksgiving drive' playlist and it's pretty much the same music I listen to now almost five months later. Ahh sleepy, tchau.
